Protecting the Environment

In addition to the numerous and expansive investment programmes and community engagement activities, EFG Hermes has adopted a series of internal regulations and policies that aim to mitigate any environmental damage caused by the firm’s internal operations. These policies rely on measurable indices and targets that will help reduce the company’s carbon footprint. Among these policies is the extensive use of recycled paper as well as the recycling of an extensive percentage of the firm’s ink cartridges. Equipment that may contain contaminants are disposed of in an environmentally friendly way.

Furthermore, the firm engages in methods and policies that attempt to reduce consumption, which have shown promising results to-date. The firm augments these conservation policies by studying the use of renewable energy sources as alternatives. Currently the firm is undertaking an expert's report which will assess the feasibility of utilizing alternative energy.
